Introverted Entrepreneur

You might think that the term 'introverted entrepreneur' is an oxymoron but my guest and I are here to give hope to all introverted entrepreneurs that their dream business IS within their reach!

In Episode 11 Dawn Marcotte and I spoke about the parallels between training for running races and entrepreneurship and we also discovered that we're both introverts. Contrary to popular belief, introverts do NOT hide away in a corner, afraid of the world. In fact, you'll find many introverts at large industry conferences but they'll need some decompression time before joining you for nightlife activities.

As you most likely have already discovered, everyone and their mothers have a different way of attracting clients, making more sales, and running a business. The thing to remember - especially for introverts - is that you don't have to do everything the same way! The process that worked for one person might not work for you. Or maybe you need a variation of that process that feels comfortable for you.

It's entirely possible that you'll want to garner business advice from other introverts because they will know first hand what it's like to need your down time while creating a business.

Listen in as we chat about the differences between introverts and extraverts along with how being introverted can be beneficial to starting and running a business.

Practical Advice for the Introverted Entrepreneur

  • Every business journey is unique. Embrace YOUR journey.
  • Marketing strategies are not 'one-size-fits-all'. Pick and choose strategies that are aligned with your personality.
  • Business practices that are aligned will make you feel excited about your business every single day.
  • Embrace automation. You can't be everywhere at the same time so make things easier for yourself.

About the Author

I chose to proactively retire from the classroom teaching and share my gifts in a different context. I'm a damn good teacher and I'm tired of working within a frustrating system that won't let me do what I know is right. So I'm taking my business full time -- and I'm still educating, still making a difference in the world. And I want to help you do the same.
